Hello everyone, thank you for all your kind wishes and love during my recent arm operation.I got 90% use back so I’ve been scrapping and making cards like crazy, lol. Why Maya?

Filed under: General — Jini at 10:09 am on Saturday, October 20, 2007

I thought it’s time I explained why I picked Maya Memories as a name for my site since I’ve had heaps of email queries about it from friends and customers :) Andrew (dh) and I are hoping to start a family soon and I’ve always wanted a girl, won’t give it away if its a boy, lol, so I decided to name the site after our future daughter. This whole thing is so very special to Andrew and myself and we look forward to the day when Maya (illusion in hinduism) is here for real, lol.

On a lighter non-corny note I felt creative and didn’t have time to do a layout so opted to do two cards instead.

How Exciting

Maya Memories received a delivery of Green Tara Flowers today. It was a rather exciting event. I think the box was kind of snatched from the courier’s hand, lol. They’re all on the site and they look so pretty. More chipboards and mdf’s coming from Scrapware. Very excited with the Rasberry stock that I’ve ordered :) I’m expecting them to be up by the weekend latest Tuesday so keeping checking back. On another note I’ve posted a blog on Aussie Pub Calls for designers and have had a few replies so far so thanks ladies, keep them coming :)

Happy Shopping :)

Cards Galore

Filed under: General, Inspiration — Jini at 8:18 am on Tuesday, October 16, 2007

I procrastinated a bit yesterday instead of doing housework and made a beautiful card for DH who’s sick at home at the moment :( He’s been wonderful with his comments on my cards. Good constructive comments like “oh you’ve put shiny stuff on the card, mmm Its very girly but otherwise it nice, lol” He’s adorable. Anyway I’ve been busy making some other cards too so I thought I’d share them with you. Enjoy. Feel free to email me if you have an queries about the stamp sets I’ve used.

I’m slowly adding all the goodies I purchased from Paperific so keep checking in :)

What a terrific weekend

Filed under: General — Jini at 9:53 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2007

Wow its been the most amazing and exhausting week for me. On Friday I went to the Paperific show and my oh my I felt like a kid in a candy store. I just had to keep reminding myself that I was there for the trade event. Although I did get some really nice goodies. I’m hoping to test out the new products real soon, thank you all for your patience with the forum and gallery. I’m still looking for designers so if you interested send me and email at enquiries@mayamemories.com.au

I’ve spent all Sat and Sun sorting out the pictures for the patterned papers that I will be loading up tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled. I’m hoping to have all of them up by tomorrow, lol.

Have a great night

Woody (hubby) thank you for your love and support, without you Maya Memories wouldn’t have eventuated. I would like to thank those who have emailed me telling me how beautiful my store looks :) Thanks everyone and I look forward to your support.

I’ve always loved scrapbooking, making cards and doing anything creative. It helped me tremendously during my time at Med School. Its my other form of meditation, lol. I hope you have a splendid time shopping and I look forward to getting to know my regulars as time goes on :)

Lots of Love

Jini
